These Easy Peanut Butter Cookies are Toddler Approved…
Even though Ava is a pretty adventurous eater, she doesn’t have a sweet tooth and much prefers savory dishes. My toddler will choose cheese over cookies any day (just like me!). But when she tried these 3 ingredient peanut butter cookies, she wouldn’t stop eating them. Now these peanut butter cookies are considered a treat since they are pretty sugary! But when we make a batch, it usually disappears pretty quickly. The whole family loves them! I usually cut up a banana for Ava and serve it with a few small chunks of peanut butter cookies on top. Mom’s attempt to sneak in a fruit serving by covering it with cookie crumbles…
I’m all about really easy cookie recipes, with just a few ingredients and simple instructions even a 2 year old could follow. I’m not a very skilled baker and I don’t have the time (or energy!) to attempt homemade complicated creations! So if you suck at baking and you’re looking for incredibly simple cookie recipe ideas, you’ve come to the right place. I’m always looking for recipes that take less than 15 minutes to put together using less than 5 ingredients!

How to Make These Easy 3 Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies
You only need 3 ingredients to bake these cookies:
- 1 Cup Creamy Peanut Butter
- 1 Cup Sugar
- 1 Egg

Making these cookies is ridiculously easy so it’s the perfect opportunity to get your little one involved in the baking process. You’ll have a lot of fun together mixing everything and rolling the dough into small cookie balls.

You can use the 3 ingredient peanut butter cookies as a base and add some ingredients to switch things up. You can add a handful of chocolate chips or chopped nuts, mashed ripe bananas, or a pinch of sea salt to balance out the sweetness. You could also totally replace the white sugar with brown sugar. Once we added an extra egg because I wasn’t paying attention and the cookies ended up even more gooey than the original recipe (so I highly recommend it!).
For this specific recipe, creamy peanut butter works much better than natural peanut butter (which you need to stir). We like the Skippy creamy peanut butter since it doesn’t contain palm oil.

Creative ways to enjoy these delicious peanut butter cookies
These chewy and gooey peanut butter cookies are yummy straight out of the oven. But you can also get creative with these cookies and serve them a few different ways! I love to add some fruit and crumble them over bananas for my toddler. I’ve also tried them warm out of the over with some vanilla ice cream and it was pretty delish. Next time I might try them with a dollup of jelly for a take on the PB and J!

This sounds fantastic! I love that they are gluten-free. We may need to play around with the type of sugar we use, as my husband has some sensitivities to regular sugars. Thanks for sharing 🙂
Coconut sugar works really well!
